The Lima News certainly once again has stooped to a new low in the article Sunday, “Crossing the thin blue line.” If you want to publish every officer’s name who broke the law because you have nothing else to write about, fine, but publishing their names from years ago when they were “young and stupid” and not even officers at the time is ridiculous.

My son-in-law was one of the names you published from something that happened when he was 20 years old and not an officer of the law. I can tell you he is a changed man, a very Godly man, and he wants nothing more than to help the people of this community and uphold the law.

Maybe you should write an article about the officers who are on the streets helping instead of bashing their reputations, or maybe you should write about everyone who ever has made a mistake, and you may find your own name at the top of the list.
