Rhodes State College President Debra McCurdy gave students waiting lists as reasons for building downtown. It seems to me the waiting lists for nursing, dental hygiene, radiology and physical therapy could be taken care of more quickly by building the Center for Excellence for Health Services on campus, where land is already available, rather than building downtown, where land acquisition, demolition, etc., would have to be done before the construction would commence. A building on campus could be built to admit the same number of students as a building downtown and could be done sooner and less expensively.
