Letitia "Tish" Barton, 60, died at 8:12 p.m. Jan. 14, 2008, at St. Rita's Medical Center.
She was born Oct. 15, 1947, in Carbondale, Ill., to Hugh E. and Wilma L. Johnson Watson. Her father and stepmother, Fay Watson, survive in Salem, S.C. Her mother preceded her in death. On Aug. 18, 1979, she married Robert James Barton, who died Dec. 13, 1995.
Mrs. Barton was a homemaker. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church. She was a member of the PEO and a volunteer for the Equestrian Therapy Program.
Survivors also include a stepson, Todd (Rela) Barton, of Marietta, Ga.; a stepdaughter, Leslie Jane (Michael) Wolfe, of Naperville, Ill.; and three stepgrandchildren, Robert J. Barton, Taylor Elisabeth Wolfe and Rebecca Wolfe.
Services will begin at 11 a.m. Friday at Trinity United Methodist Church. The Rev. David Harris will officiate. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Chiles-Laman Funeral Homes, Shawnee Chapel, and one hour prior to services Friday at the church.
