Douglas L. White, 31, died at 4:20 a.m. April 21, 2008, at his residence.
He was born June 2, 1976, in Lima to Ronald K. White Sr. and Wilda Mae Bowers.
Mr. White was a self-employed construction worker. He was a 1994 graduate of Lima Senior High School. He loved being outdoors where he enjoyed riding four-wheelers, deer hunting, hiking, arrowhead hunting and outdoor exploring. He took pride in his appearance. Most of all, he cherished his children. The role of father was something he did best. He touched all of our lives in a special way. He is dearly loved and will be greatly missed. Thank you to all for your love and support. It is appreciated more than words can express.
Survivors include a brother, Dominique White, of Lima; three half brothers, Mark White, Ronald White Jr. and Bill Weatherspoon; two half sisters, Gaylynn White and Sherell Owens; a son, Xavier White, of Lima; two daughters, Alexis White and Makayla White, both of Lima; his adopted mother, Donna Prichard, of Lima; three adopted brothers, Shawn Prichard, of Lima, and Michael Prichard and Tommy Prichard; and several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Christopher and Nick Austin; and a sister, P'Tina White.
Services will begin at 1 p.m. Monday at Chiles-Laman Funeral Homes, Lewis Eastside Chapel. The Rev. Russell Lawrence will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to a trust fund for his children in care of Fifth Third Bank or to the family to help with funeral expenses.
