ROBERT R. BOAT Jr., 47, died at 4:58 p.m. March 27, 2005, at St. Rita's Medical Center.



He was born Dec. 13, 1957, in Indianapolis to Robert R. and Naomi Collins Boat Sr., who preceded him in death. On Oct. 14, 1978, he married Tina R. Miller, who survives.



Mr. Boat was a line supervisor for Honda of America, Anna, and had worked at Philips Display, Ottawa, Sears and Butler Shoes. He was an avid Harley-Davidson motorcycle rider and enjoyed NASCAR. He loved his children and spending time with them.



Survivors also include a son, Mackenzie R. Boat at home; a daughter, Madison R. Boat at home; four half brothers, Richard Bach and Charles Bach, both of Indianapolis, Gerald Boat of Arizona and Paul Boat of Atlanta; his stepfather, Glen Bach of Indianapolis; and a grandmother, Mary Hill Tacket of Indianapolis.



Services will begin at 11 a.m. Thursday at Chiles & Sons-Laman Funeral Homes, Shawnee Chapel. The Rev. Richard Hart will officiate.



Friends may call from 1 to 3 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.



Memorial contributions may be made to the family which will be put into an account at Citizens National Bank for his children.
