Beatrice P. Runkle, 98, died at 6:45 a.m. July 25, 2007, at Birchaven Village, Findlay.
She was born Sept. 5, 1908, in Hardin County to Orange C. and Frances Mary Huggett Powell, who preceded her in death. On June 1, 1929, she married Lewis LeRoy Runkle, who died July 1, 1983.
Mrs. Runkle was a homemaker. She was a member of First United Methodist Church, Ada. She was a member of Chapter O of the PEO, Ada, the Sorosis Club and the Order of Eastern Star, Buffalo, N.Y. She was a graduate of Ohio Northern University, Ada.
Survivors include two sons, L. James (Diana) Runkle, of Findlay, and Joseph L. (Judy) Runkle, of Auburn, N.Y.; a daughter, Julia R. (Richard) Fisher, of Oxford; nine grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; a great-great-granddaughter; a brother, Donald H. (Elinor) Powell, of Ada; a sister, Marjorie M. (John) Omler, of Waterville; and a sister-in-law, Helen Powell, of Ada.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Edward H. Powell.
Services will begin at 11 a.m. Monday at Hanson-Neely Funeral Home, Ada. The Rev. Wayne Albertson will officiate. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Ada.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday and until time of services Monday at the funeral home.
