LIMA


Ronald Leroy Pulfer, 82, of Bluffton, S.C., formerly of Lima, died May 6, 2013, at NHC-Bluffton.


He was born on April 28, 1931, in Quincy, the son of the late Albert Henry and Emma Margaret Smith Pulfer.



Mr. Pulfer was a farmer. In 1965, he moved to Lima, where he worked for H.U. Tuttle & Sons Construction Co., until retiring in 1985. He moved to the Hilton Head Island, S.C., area in 1989. He was a member of Indian Hill Baptist Church, Bluffton, S.C.



He is survived by his wife, Ermel Wagner Pulfer, of Bluffton, S.C.; sons, Chris (Debbie) Pulfer, of Bloomingdale, Ga., and Eric (Deb Allison) Pulfer, of Lima; daughters, Melody (Scott) Arnold, of Vacaville, Calif., and Joyce (Mark Nivens) Cooper, of Bluffton, S.C.; sister, Thelma Leitz, of St. Louis; and 10 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.



He was predeceased by his brother, Warren Pulfer.



Funeral services will be held at 5 p.m. Thursday at Indian Hill Baptist Church, 389 Fording Island Road, Bluffton, S.C. Burial will be in St. Luke’s Memorial Gardens.



Friends may call from 3 p.m. until time of services Thursday at the church.



Arrangements are by Sauls Funeral Home, Bluffton, S.C.
