KALIDA - Kim C. Travis, 55, died at 6:10 p.m. April 14, 2013, at St. Rita’s Medical Center.
She was born May 10, 1957, in Dayton to the late Nicholas and Iva E. Poole Pohlabel. On Aug. 24, 1974, she married Gregory Travis, who survives in Kalida, and they are divorced. Her loving companion, Steve Duling, survives in Ottawa.
Also surviving are three children, Tracey (Dwight) Maag, of Leipsic, Troy (Melissa Weber) Travis, of Kalida, and Shane (Gina) Travis, of Kalida; a stepdaughter, Stacy Duling; a stepson, Michael Duling; eight grandchildren, Tyler, Olivia, Alexa, and Travis Maag, Jacie Thomas, Jordan, Tori, and Logan Travis; two brothers, Steven (Lenore) Pohlabel, of Burlington, Wis., and Kyle (Tracy) Pohlabel, of Dayton; two sisters, Kelle (Raymond) Venable, of Huber Heights, and Lisa (David) Morrison, of Germantown; and many cousins, nieces, nephews, and extended family.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Terry Schoonover.
Kim was a grill cook at the University of Northwest Ohio, Lima. She was known as “Aunt Bea” by her nieces and nephews and enjoyed going to the beach, bowling and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Love-Heitmeyer Funeral Home, Jackson Township. Father Mark Hoying will officiate.
Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and one hour prior to the service Thursday at the funeral home.
