Doris E. Heldman, 91, went home to be with the Lord at 8:20 p.m. Sunday, May 26, 2013 at the Hilty Memorial Home, Pandora.



She was born Oct. 30, 1921, in Pandora to the Christian A. and Helen Hein Lichty, who preceded her in death. On Nov. 20, 1966, she married Dallas O. Heldman, and he preceded her in death on July 7, 2002.



Mrs. Heldman retired in 1969 after 18 years at Rusco in Pandora. She also drove a school bus for Trinity Lutheran School, Jenera, and sold World Book Encyclopedias. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Jenera.



Surviving are six grandchildren, Darwin (Julie) Heldman, of Noble, Okla., Oliver (April) Heldman, of Kenton, Harley Heldman, of Rawson, Karen (Eric) Basinger, of Columbus Grove, Tina (Nolan) Schlabach, of Baltic, Diane (David Jr.) Reigle, of Findlay, and eight great-grandchildren. She is also survived by a daughter-in-law, Doris J. Heldman, of Arlington.



She was preceded in death by a stepson, Ralph E. Heldman, and a sister, Mildred Mankin.



Services will begin at 11 a.m. Friday at Trinity Lutheran Church, Jenera. The Rev. Alois Schmitzer III and the Rev. Jeffery Bolwerk will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.



Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday at KIRKPATRICK-BEHNKE FUNERAL HOME and for one hour prior to the service from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday at the church.



Memorials may be made to Putnam County Hospice.
