William “Bill” Sanders, 68, died at 1:30 p.m. June 25, 2013, at his residence.
He was born Feb. 15, 1945, in Lima to Mose and Mary Elizabeth Cook Sanders, who preceded him in death. On Feb. 7, 1964, he married Karen Sue Downton, who survives in Lima.
Mr. Sanders retired from Marathon Electric. He was a member of Bible Believers Church.
Survivors include a son, Shane Sanders, of Fort Wayne, Ind.; two daughters, Nacion Sanders, of Fort Wayne, Ind., and Alexis Sanders, of Lima; a grandson, Aarion Tiez Sanders; four brothers, Mose Sanders and Wallace Mann, both of Lima, Calvin (Carolyn Elaine) Mann, of Columbus, and Lamar O’Neal, of Lima; three sisters, Vernelle (Clyde) Goode, of Town Creek, Ala., and Willa Dean (Jake) Miles and Sharon (Sidney) Little, both of Lima; his mother-in-law, Ruby Jones, of Lima; a daughter of the heart, Dorinda Johnson; a son of the heart, Aaron Moore; two stepsisters, Betty Lou Petterson, of Lima, and Nancy Nance, of Columbus; a sister of the heart, Vanessa Adams, of Lima; and several friends of the heart.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Patty Sanders.
Services will begin at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Bible Believers Church. The Rev. Craig Booher will officiate, with the Rev. Isaiah Brooks delivering the eulogy. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at Jones-Clark Funeral Home, where the family will be present from 6 to 8 p.m. A testimonial service will be held at 7 p.m., and the Rev. Craig Booher will deliver a sermonette.
