LIMA — Terry W. Webb, 52, passed away at 2 a.m. June 8, 2013 at his residence.
He was born July 4, 1960, in Lima to Tom & Alice VanDyke Webb. His father preceded him in death, his mother survives in Lima. On July 14, 1984, he married Lynne A. Cigolotti, who survives in Lima.
He grew up in Lima, attending St. Rose Catholic Elementary, Irving, and North. In 1978, he graduated from Lima Central Catholic High School. He received his BS in Secondary Education in 1982 from the University of Cincinnati; his Master’s in Education in 1996 from Northern Kentucky University; his Doctorate in Chiropractic Medicine in 2009 from National University of Health Sciences. He also became certified in Acupuncture in the State of Ohio. During his educational career, Terry received many awards, grants and honors, the most recent being the “Joseph Janse Outstanding Graduate Award” in 2009.
Throughout his professional career, Terry held a variety of jobs, among them were International Sales Coordinator for Dover Corporation, Organizational Consultant for Management Design Institute, and one he dearly loved, science teacher at Notre Dame Academy in Park Hills, KY for 14 years. In 1998 Terry relocated his family to Lima and held the position of principal for St. Charles Catholic School. He also served the Lima community as Parks Director for the City of Lima. In 2007 Terry returned to the classroom, receiving his doctorate in Chiropractic Medicine and certificate in Acupuncture. Upon graduating, he became Health Partners of Western Ohio’s first chiropractor. In addition, he had his own office in St. Marys, where he practiced Acupuncture. His smile and laughter were his trademark. He leaves, along with his extended family, many dear friends, colleagues, and patients behind. He will be sorely missed by everyone.
He is also survived by his son, Andrew T. Webb, of Norfolk, VA; his daughter, Angela L. (Lukas Barber) Webb, of Chicago, IL; three brothers, Keith (Pam) Webb, of Lima, Tom (Susie) Webb, of Norfolk, VA, and Rob Webb, of Atlanta, GA; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Randy Webb; and a sister, Teresa Courtney.
A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Rose Catholic Church. Father David Ross will officiate. Burial will follow in Gethsemani Cemetery.
Friends may call from 12 to 3 and 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Chiles – Laman Funeral & Cremation Services, Shawnee Chapel.
