HARROD Timothy W. Dunifon, age 60, of Harrod, died at 11:17 p.m., Friday, April 19, 2013, at The Cleveland Clinic, while awaiting a lung transplant.



He was born Dec. 25, 1952, in Lima to Rolland E. and Alta June Hawk Dunifon, who preceded him in death. He married Vicki Bowsher on Dec. 9, 1972, and she survives in Harrod.



Mr. Dunifon had retired from Lima Ford Motor Co., where he had worked on the assembly line. He was a member of St. Matthew Lutheran Church, had been a docent at the Allen County Museum and volunteered at Allen East Elementary School. He loved his grandkids and enjoyed golfing, woodworking, paint by number kits and going to casinos. He also enjoyed Ohio sports the Cincinnati Reds, Bengals and The Ohio State University. He was known as being a huge Elvis fan.



Survivors include two daughters: Kristi (Jeff) Austin of Harrod, Lori Shea of Lima, seven grandchildren: Caleb, Mallory, Cole and Marah Austin, Alex, Jared & Brady Shea, siblings: Nancy Fosburgh, Dave (Deb) Dunifon and Tom (Karen) Dunifon all of Lima, mother- in-law Barbara (Larry) Bowsher-Laub, in-laws: Greg (Pam) Bowsher, Connie (Bernie) Stockton, Debra (Paul) Poulson, Beth (David) Runk and Scott (Frances) Bowsher, numerous nieces, nephews and other family members.



He was preceded in death by two infant daughters: Melanie and Julie Dunifon, two brothers: Rolland and James Randy Dunifon and his father-in-law Paul Bowsher.



The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 Monday, April 22 at Bayliff & Son Funeral Home, Cridersville, and the funeral service will be 10:30 a.m., Tuesday at the funeral home with Pastor James C. Couser and Deaconess Jeanette Rebeck officiating. Burial will follow in Walnut Hill Cemetery near New Hampshire.



Memorial contributions may be given to The Allen County Museum or Lifeline of Ohio.
