Acairia Cre’Shae La’Nae Watkins, 16, of Columbus, formerly of Lima, passed away April 14, 2013, at Nationwide Children’s Hospital, Columbus.



She attended Columbus Alternative High School, where she was an honor roll student and played viola in the orchestra. She worked as a student intern at the Columbus Public Library and was a wonderful mother to her infant child.



She was preceded in death by a grandfather, Billy R. English Sr.; great-grandparents, Booker T. Jones Sr. and Ethal May Jones; and great-uncles Billy R. English Jr. and Booker T. Jones Jr.



She is survived by a daughter, Mar’Kia Nykell Lynn Jamar; her mother, Nicole Battle; her father, Terry Watkins; a brother, Trevon Watkins; a sister, Terrionna Watkins; grandparents, Barbara A. Geiger, Ronald Geiger and Berniece Watkins; great-grandmother, Gladys M. English; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends, including best friend, Daila Wilson.



A celebration of life will begin at 2 p.m. Monday in the chapel of Diehl-Whittaker Funeral Service, 720 E. Long St., Columbus, where the family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until the start of service.
