Sandra Kay Benroth, 59, died May 29, 2011.
She was born Jan. 26, 1952, in Lima to Paul E. and Mary Jane Reeder Radabaugh Sr. On Oct. 31, 1970, she married Bruce Benroth, who survives in Cairo.
Mrs. Benroth worked with Heartbeat of Lima, with which she was very active. She also worked with Sharon Hayden, Hayden’s Gifts & Flowers, Columbus Grove, and last with Dr. Brian Jones, Jones Chiropractic, Lima. She was attending Lima Community Church. Her incomparable life was filled with pool parties, summer camp outs, weekly girls nights and cheering her grandchildren at their various sporting events and loving her family and friends as only she could. She understood that the greatest purpose any life could possess would be to follow in the footsteps of Jesus, setting a goal to live a life of unbiased and selfless love. This quotation by John Bunyan was seemingly engraved within her kind heart: “You have not lived today successfully unless you’ve done something for someone who can never repay you.” To have witnessed her unfailing love was to be granted insight to the warmest, most gentle heart. Her commitment to love will continue to impact the world through all of the lives she touched. In her last days, many friends and faithful family came together to shower her with whispered memories, gentle tenderness, affectionate care and undeniable love.
Survivors also include two sons, Todd (Melissa) Benroth, of Columbus Grove, and Kyle Benroth, of Cairo; two grandchildren, Brandon Benroth and Madison Benroth; three brothers, Paul E. (Susan) Radabaugh II, of Landeck, Herbert C. (Darlene) Radabaugh, of Columbus Grove, and Scott O. Radabaugh, of Missouri; and three sisters, Elizabeth (John) Lee, of Lima, Paula (John) Utrup, of Columbus Grove, and Helen Hazelton, of Upper Sandusky.
She was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, John Hazelton.
