Richard M. Showman

CRIDERSVILLE — Richard M. Showman, 74, died at 1:43 p.m. June 20, 2013, at St. Rita’s Medical Center.

He was born Sept. 7, 1938, in Edinboro, Pa., to Ralph L. and Serena Morse Showman, who preceded him in death. He married Beverly A. Weber on March 7, 1955, and she survives in Cridersville.

Mr. Showman had been a farmer and a millwright, having retired from General Dynamics. He was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose and Fraternal Order of Eagles, both in Indian Lake.

Survivors also include a son, Brian (Tammy) Showman, of Verona, Ky.; two daughters, Lori (Steve) Fisher, of Wapakoneta, and Kim (Terry) Tallman, of Lima; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two brothers, Bill Showman, of Erie, Pa., and Raymond (Betty) Showman, of Edinboro, Pa.; two sisters, Jane Fitzpatrick, of Wilmington, Del., and Doris (Jim) McArdle, of Edinboro, Pa.; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Johnney (Joyce) Showman.

Private family services will be held at a later date.
