CRIDERSVILLE — Jeffrey Lynn Valenti, age 54 of Cridersville, died at 8:05 a.m., Friday, April 19, 2013 at home surrounded by his family.



He was born November 4, 1958 in Lima, Ohio; the son of Louis “Bernie” and Helena Ritt Valenti. His mother survives outside of Cridersville. He married Kelly Gilbert, who is preceded in death.



He is also survived by his siblings – Louis “Bernie” (Kris) Valenti of Muncie, Ind.; Dennis (Kathy) Valenti of Cridersville; Thomas (Kellie) Valenti of Cridersville; Kathy Valenti of Cridersville; and Michael (Angie) Valenti of Farmersville, Ohio; and many nieces and nephews.



He was preceded in death by a brother Douglas Valenti.



Jeff had worked 25 years with Dietrich, Inc. and then worked for several years at T & D Interiors and was a member of the Carpenters Local Union #372. After graduating from Wapakoneta High School in 1977 he spent one year at Bowling Green State University. Jeff was an avid fisherman, hunter, and a big Ohio State Buckeye and Cleveland Browns fan. He was also a long time member of the NRA.



The family will receive friends from 3 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, April 23, 2013, at Bayliff & Son Funeral Home, Cridersville.



A service will follow the visitation at 8:00 p.m., Tuesday at the funeral home.



In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Ohio State James Cancer Center or St. Rita’s Hospice.
