OTTAWA — Blake A. Romes, 17, of Ottawa died Thursday, May 9, 2013 in Ottawa.
He was born March 6, 1996 in Lima to Brian and Michelle (Grothause) Romes. His father and step-mother, Lori, survives in Findlay. His mother, Michelle Grothause survives in Ottawa.
Also surviving are his maternal grandparents: Tim and Cynthia Grothause of Pandora; paternal grandparents: Roger and Deb Romes of Glandorf and Patty Romes of Ottawa and paternal great-grandmother, Mary Kemper of Delphos. His brother, Blaine is deceased.
Blake was a junior at Ottawa-Glandorf High School and he was a member of the School track and football teams, also the school choir. He was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church. Blake enjoyed basketball and wresting at the YMCA. He also enjoyed playing the guitar.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held 10 a.m., Wednesday, May 15, 2013 at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Ottawa with Fr. Matt Jozefiak officiating. Burial will follow in church cemetery. Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Monday and 2 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the FOURTH STREET GYMNASIUM in Ottawa.
