Monte D. Druckemiller, 66, died at 7:15 p.m. April 23, 2013, at St. Rita’s Medical Center.

He was born Sept. 4, 1946, in Van Wert to Oris and Ruby Zellers Druckemiller, who preceded him in death. On Aug. 20, 1966, he married Jeanne Mox, who survives in Delphos.

Mr. Druckemiller had been a purchasing agent at Fruehauf until it closed. He then became a sales representative for Paragon Service & Supply, Lima. He was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church. He was a member of Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 471, Delphos. He was a veteran of the Ohio National Guard, serving seven years. He was a board member of the Civil Service Commission, where he was currently serving as president. He was a charter member of the Stadium Club, where he had served as president. He had also served on the board of directors of the Delphos Recreation Department.

A lot of Delphos remembers him for his years playing softball for the Rustic and his coaching midget football for the Vikings football team. He was a die-hard fan of the Cleveland Browns and Indians. In all of his endeavors, most important to him was his faith and his family, especially his grandchildren.

Survivors also include a son, Keaton (Christina) Druckemiller, of Delphos; three daughters, Bonnie (Steve) Buettner, of Delphos, Beth (Trent Unterbrink) Slattman, of Lucky, and Jodi (David Bullock) Caputo, of Delphos; three sisters, Juanita Ringer, of Van Wert, Mary Lou Buschor, of Mendon, and Wilma McBride, of Delphos; 11 grandchildren, Brent and Emily Buettner, Hunter and Gavin Slattman, Kathryn, Jeffrey and Mia Caputo, Ethan, Ella, Liam and Sophia Druckemiller; two brothers-in-law, George Mox, of Delphos, and Joe (Jan) Mox, of Naperville, Ill.; and a sister-in-law, Judy Green, of Delphos.

He was preceded in death by four brothers, Coy, Richard “R.D.”, Oris Jr. and Paul Druckemiller; and a sister, Lois Tyler.

Services will begin at 11 a.m. Saturday at Trinity United Methodist Church. The Rev. David Howell will officiate. Burial will be in Walnut Grove Cemetery, Delphos, with military rites by the Delphos Veterans Council.

Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. today and 2 to 8 p.m. Friday at Harter & Schier Funeral Home, Delphos, and one hour prior to services Saturday at the church.

Memorial contributions may be made to Trinity United Methodist Church Building Fund or the charity of the donor’s choice.
