Constance M. “Connie” Clum, 83, died at 12:50 a.m. Feb. 17, 2010, at The Ridge at Shawnee.
She was born Feb. 24, 1926, in Ravenna, Mich., to Bonnie Lewis Hahn, who preceded her in death. On May 6, 1945, she married John T. Clum, who died March 15, 2007. They were married for 62 years.
Mrs. Clum was a 1944 graduate of Lima South High School. She retired in 1985 as a secretary from Vistron Corp. She had also worked at Greggs Department Store, The Leader Store and as a waitress. She was a member of Lima Baptist Temple, where she was active in the church for several years teaching the young adults marriage class, Sunday school and was a member of the adult choir. She loved spending time with her family.
Survivors include a daughter, Jacque (Darryl Moser) Stauffer, of Lima; two sons, Thomas G. (Marti) Clum, of Broken Arrow, Okla., and J. Michael (Susan) Clum, of Elida; a sister, Bonnie Myers, of Asheville, N.C.; eight grandchildren, John (Sue) Stauffer, Lisa (Mark) Poe, Shawn Clum, Erin (Daryl) Jones, Angela (Justin) Rossi, Melissa (Matt) Klaus, Brandon (Jenny) Blaine and Erica (Chris) Davis; 17 great-grandchildren, Heather, Jesse, Alexis, Abigayle, Gibson, Haylie, Avery, Max, Anabel, Madison, Cole, Brock, Colby, Grace, Virginia Rose, Carmen and Delaney; and close friends, Pastor Jim and Jennifer Sandberg, of Muncie, Ind.
She was preceded in death by in-laws, Gilbert and Bessie Esmonde Clum.
Services will begin at 10 a.m. Saturday at Lima Baptist Temple. Pastors Gary Hohman and Ronald B. Cannon will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Friday at Chiles-Laman Funeral Homes, Shawnee Chapel, and one hour prior to services Saturday at the church.
