LimaHoward L. Starr, of Ocala, Fla., formerly of Lima, died April 17, 2012, at his residence.He was born in 1938 in Lima. His wife, Betty Starr, survives in Ocala, Fla.Mr. Starr retired as a master sergeant from the Air Force after 21 years. He also retired as an electronics engineer from Ampex Corp. He was a member of the Shriners and the Free & Accepted Masons. He had been a member of United Methodist Christian Church, Lima. He and his wife moved to Ocala, Fla., in 2001.Survivors also include two daughters, Daphne Reynolds and Tina Johnson, both of Colorado Springs, Colo.; a stepdaughter, Sandra Bayliff, of Russells Point; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; two sisters, Judy (Hal) Robinson, of Findlay, and Rosie (Jim) Pleh, of Toledo.Graveside services will begin at noon Saturday at the chapel in Memorial Park Cemetery, Lima, with military rites.
