LimaRobert Harold Huysman, 84, of Washington Court House, formerly of Lima, died at 2:35 p.m. May 7, 2012, at the Court House Manor Nursing Home.He was born Oct. 5, 1927, in Lima to Earl J. and Beatrice Carter Huysman, who preceded him in death. He married Maryann Theresa Youngpeter, who died March 11, 1990.Mr. Huysman was a printer with National Cash Register and Kreber Graphics, before retiring in 1990 from Treasurer Chest Printing, all in Columbus. He was a graduate of Lima Central Catholic High School. He moved to Washington Court House in 1959 from Englewood. He was a member of the St. Colman of Cloyne Catholic Church. He had served as a grand knight with the Knights of Columbus. He was a member of Benevolent & Protective Order of Elks Lodge 129, Washington Court House, where he had served as an exalted ruler. He was a Navy veteran of World War II. He was a member of American Legion Post 25 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3762.Survivors include five sons, Dr. John (Sheryl) Huysman, of Moore Haven, Fla., Greg Huysman, of Greenfield, Gary (Maureen) Huysman, of Charlottesville, Va., Andy (Kim) Huysman and Jeff (Kelli) Huysman, both of Washington Court House; nine grandchildren, Brynn Huysman, Tanner Huysman, Errin (Zachariah) Rhoades, Adam (Leila Chavez) Huysman, Kyle Huysman, Emma Huysman, Kelsey Jo Bentley, Shiann Huysman and Emily Huysman; six great-grandchildren; three brothers, Ralph Huysman, Fred Huysman and Jim (Sue) Huysman, all of Lima; four sisters, Betty Yant, of Bluffton, and Carol Kohl, Joyce (Don) Kohl and Phyllis Cloyd, all of Lima; five brothers- and sisters-in-law, Larry Jay, Tony (Ruth) Youngpeter and Teresa Huysman, all of Lima, and Marie Youngpeter and Hillory (Marilynn) Youngpeter, both of Findlay.He was preceded in death by three brothers, Clarence, Eugene and John M. Huysman; and a sister, Sandra Kay Jay.Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Colman of Cloyne Catholic Church. The Rev. Father Jan C. Sullivan will officiate.
