AdaWilliam Louis Gast, 84 died at 10:57 a.m. May 12, 2012, at Lima Memorial Health System.He was born July 8, 1927, in Lima to Louis and Mazo Cozene Buck Gast, who preceded him in death. On Oct. 4, 1947, he married Mary Lou Wheeler, who survives in Ada.Mr. Gast retired as a refinery operator from Standard Oil Refinery. He was a member of Central Church of Christ, Lima. He was a Navy veteranSurvivors also include a son, Louis Scott (Natalie) Gast, of Copper Hill, Va.; two daughters, Rebecca Ann (Michael) Landrum, of Suffolk, Va., and Jennifer Susan (Thomas) Doom, of Erie, Mich.; and two grandchildren and a great-grandson.He was preceded in death by three brothers, Bob, Chet and George Gast; and three sisters, Helen Holt, Louise LaRue and Eleanor McNulty.Private family services will be held at a later date.
