William F. “Ollie” Anderson Sr., 79, died at 11:02 a.m. Jan. 22, 2013, at St. Rita’s Medical Center.
He was born Aug. 18, 1933, in Lima to the late Fred L. and Gladys Erma Shaw Anderson. On May 29, 1956, he married Shirley Ann Luke, who survives.
Mr. Anderson retired from Randall Bearing. He was an Army veteran and a life member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1275, Lima. He was a former member of the Lima Motorcycle Club and enjoyed riding his Harley. He loved old western movies, and his family was his “first thing.”
Survivors include two sons, William F. “Bill” (Tammy) Anderson Jr., of Cridersville, and Robert L. (Lori) Anderson, of Cridersville; a daughter, Karen S. (Neal) Burk, of Cridersville; five grandchildren, Kristin Lunz, Lacey (Arimis) Jeffers, Dylan Anderson, Ryan Anderson and Katie (Al Flores) Anderson; five great-grandchildren, Victoria Lunz, Raegan Jeffers, Levi Jeffers, Daemon Flores and Gabrael Flores; a brother, Donald (Eileen, deceased) Anderson, of Lima; a sister, Betty (Tom, deceased) McElroy, of Lima; and his beloved dogs, Chico and Angel.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Freddie Anderson.
Funeral services will begin 11:30 a.m. Friday at Bayliff & Son Funeral Home, Cridersville. Chaplain Dick Coon will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Lima, with military rites by VFW Post 1275.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
