KITTY M. LAIBE, 88, died at 7:10 a.m. Oct. 21, 2006, at her daughter's residence in Waleska, Ga.



She was born Sept. 14, 1918, in Norfolk, Va., to George P. and Ann W. Catt Tarr, who preceded her in death. On May 28, 1939, she married J. Ramon Laibe, who died Nov. 13, 1999.



Mrs. Laibe was owner and operator of Wicker World from 1971 to 1976 and was a homemaker. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church and a member of United Methodist Women and a member of PEO. She was actively involved in Trinity United Methodist Women's Fellowship. She was a past member of Lima Memorial Hospital Auxiliary and 63-year member of PEO DM Chapter. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother and Nanee to her family.



Survivors include five daughters, Rebecca A. Laibe, of Kona, Hawaii, Penny L. Trotta, of Boulder, Colo., Judy N. (Roger) Jenkins,of Waleska, Ga., Kathy R. (Ronald) Pasquali, of Lima, and Cindy L. (Dennis) Tenwalde, of Lima; two brothers, George P. (Kayoko) Tarr Jr., of Salem Ore., and Robert D. (Corrine) Tarr, of Cincinnati; a sister, Nancy E. Mason, of Los Osos, Calif.; nine grandchildren, Christopher (Carolyn) Martens, of Portland, Ore., Todd (Elaine) Martens, of Boca Raton, Fla., Jennifer (Doug) Campbell, of London, England, Erin (Patrick) Westfall, of Niwot, Colo., Tiersa (Chris) Laskey, of Monroe, Ga., Kyle (Tammi) Jenkins, of Belmont, Mich., Ryan Pasquali, of Toledo, Erica Pasquali, of Pittsburgh, and Jonathan Tenwalde, of Lima; 12 great-grandchildren, four stepgrandchildren and 10 stepgreat-grandchildren.



Services will begin at 6 p.m. Thursday at Chiles-Laman Funeral Homes, Shawnee Chapel. The Rev. David Harris will officiate. Burial of the cremains will be later in Memorial Park Cemetery.



Friends may call from 4 to 6 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.



Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice or PEO Education Fund and mailed to Kaye Seese, 3931 Magnolia Lane, Lima, OH 45805.
