Ann F. Frick, 89, formerly of Lima, died at 8:30 a.m. April 18, 2008, at Hilty Memorial Home, Pandora.
She was born Oct. 1, 1918, in Bellefontaine to Orville B. and Minta Fergus Harding, who preceded her in death. On March 24, 1939, she married Arthur Frick, who died in 1970.
Mrs. Frick was a life member of Christ Church Episcopal, Lima, until its closing. She was the first woman to serve on its vestry and was a member of its St. Anne's Guild. She recently attended St. Luke Lutheran Church. She was a member of the Philanthropic Education Organization, a program of continuing education which awards need-based grants to women for educational expenses. She was a member of the Lima Sorosis Book Club. She was a graduate of Bellefontaine High School, where she was valedictorian, and attended Wittenberg College. She will be remembered for her love of flower gardening, vacations on Sanibel with special friends, her church life and her family.
Survivors included two daughters, Kris (Reuben) DeBolt, of Pandora, and Karen (Wayne) Smith, of Hilliard; a son, Mark (Dee) Frick, of Elida; a sister, Barbara Dovell, of Columbus; and eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Jan Frick.
Services will begin at 10 a.m. May 10 at St. Luke Lutheran Church, Lima. Pastor Lars Olson will officiate.
Friends may call following services May 10 at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to PEO Chapter DM of Lima, Hilty Memorial Home, St. Luke Lutheran Church or the Putnam County Hospice.
