Ronald R. Brinsfield, 69, died at 8:39 a.m. April 3, 2013, at his residence.
He was born Jan. 1, 1944, in Lima to Ray and June Garlock Brinsfield, who preceded him in death.
Mr. Brinsfield was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War, where he received two Bronze Stars. He retired as a car salesman. He had attended St. Charles, St. Rose and St. Gerard Catholic churches.
Survivors include a son, Chad Brinsfield, of St. Paul, Minn.; a granddaughter, Ava Marie Brinsfield, of Las Vegas; and his former spouse, Margaret Wanamaker, of Dublin, Ohio.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Gary Brinsfield, and a sister, Theresa Rex.
Services will begin at 3 p.m. Saturday at Chiles-Laman Funeral & Cremation Services, Shawnee Chapel. Father Jim Szbonya will officiate. Burial will be in the Dayton National Cemetery, Dayton, with military rites by Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1275 and the Army Honor Guard.
Friends may call from 1 p.m. until time of services Saturday at the funeral home.
