Donna I. Spicer Hooker, 92, died April 17, 2013, at Roselawn Manor Nursing Home, Spencerville.
She was born Dec. 2, 1920, in Mendon to Thomas H. and Clara B. Faurot Spicer. On June 9, 1946, she married James Hooker, who died March 9, 1979.
Mrs. Hooker was a graduate of Mendon High School, Mendon, and Giffen Business College, Van Wert. She retired as an operator service manager from General Telephone Co. in Spencerville and Bryan. She was a member of Westside Methodist Church, Lima. She was a member of the Business & Professional Womenís Club, Bryan, and was the 1986 Volunteer of the Year. She had been a volunteer at the Allen County Museum.
Survivors include a sister-in-law, Gloria Spicer; and three nephews, Steven (Lori) Spicer, of Lima, and Todd (Susan) Spicer and Rick Spicer, both of St. Marys.
She was preceded in death by four brothers, Vincent; Carl; her twin, Donald; and Richard Spicer.
Graveside services will begin at 11 a.m. April 27, in Spencerville Cemetery. Pastor Jan Johnson will officiate.
There will be no visitation, per her request.
Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donorís choice.
