LIMA — Thomas A. “Tom” McCoy, 68, died at 1:15 p.m. Sept. 14, 2012, at his residence.
He was born Sept. 1, 1944, to Dallas and Maxine Bowden McCoy. His mother survives in Lima. On Oct. 5, 1968, he married Lynda Hunt, who survives in Lima.
Mr. McCoy was a diesel mechanic for Lima Mack and Finch. He was an outdoorsman who loved to go camping with his family and go fishing. He also enjoyed playing cards and games on Facebook.
Survivors also include three children, Denny (Tammy) Bowers, Teresa (Larry) Davis, and Amy (KC) Sockrider, all of Lima; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; a sister, Peggy; and four brothers, Jerry, John, Richard and Raymond.
He was preceded in death by a grandson, Terry Dotson III.
Services will begin at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Chiles-Laman Funeral and Cremation Services, Eastside Chapel. Pastor Scott Dove will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Lima.
Friends may call from noon to 2 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
