LIMA ó Barbara Laurita From, 51, of Tuscon, Ariz., formerly of Lima, died July 16, 2013.
We are saddened to announce that our mother, daughter, sister and grandmother was suddenly and unexpectedly taken from us. Her sudden loss has left us with enormous grief and emptiness. We are only comforted in knowing that our Lordís compassion and wisdom will ease this burden in our time of trial. Our family will miss her deeply.
She is survived by parents, Frank and Elizabeth Laurita, of Lima; children, Adam (Julie) Thompson and Sarah (Deo) Diaz; brothers, Roland, Francis and Michael; sisters, Kathy, Karen and Lauri; grandchildren, Ella, Cole, Charlie, Trey and Marie; and many nieces and nephews and friends.
She was born and raised in Lima.
Barbara so loved and cherished her children and grandchildren, she moved to Tucson, Ariz., to be near them and worked as a registered nurse at Tucson Heart. After surviving a house fire, she retired and enjoyed every moment with her children and grandchildren. She treasured all of them in her heart. She loved her days in Arizona and found great peace and consolation in her recent years with the desert and its sunsets.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at Desert Sunset Funeral Home, Tucson, Ariz. A private internment will be held.
Memorials may be made to Lima Central Catholic High School in memory of Barbara Laurita From.
