Tavares Antwain ‚??Boo Boo‚?Ě Meeks, 29, died at 12:28 a.m. Dec. 20, 2012, at Lima Memorial Health System.



He was



born June 29,



1983, in Lima



to Joseph



Eugene



Meeks, Jr.



and Carla



Jo Hurley.



His father,



Joseph E.



Meeks,



Jr. (Diane



Robertson) and his mother



both survive in Lima.



His fiancee, LaKrisha A.



Freytag, survives in Lima.



He worked in construction.



He was a 2002 graduate



of Lima Senior High School,



where he played football. He



loved football and all sports.



Tavares had a passion for



sports. His first passion was



karate, and as he got older,



his passion became football.



Tavares won a championship



while playing midget league



with the Bulldogs in 1995.



He also played football with



Lima City Schools. He loved



mentoring and coaching the



Bulldog midget league and



assisting alongside his best



friend, Michael Simpson.



Survivors also include two



sons, Isiaha A. Meeks and



Isaac A. Meeks, and two



daughters, Yazmen Y. Meeks



and Kayleigh A. Meeks, all of



Lima; four brothers, Percy L.



Whiteside III, of Lima, Lamar



Meeks, of Columbus, Joseph



E. C. Meeks III, of Cleveland



and Marquez Pritchett, of



Lima; three sisters, Tenetta I.



Whiteside, Cora Jackson and



Candena Meeks, all of Lima;



two uncles, Michael Hurley



and John (Gloria) Meeks;



four aunts, Deanna Hurley,



Terri (Charles) Tisdale,



Vanessa (Rodney) Watson



and Pamela Hurley; and a



special grandfather, Andre



Robinson.



He was preceded in death



by his material grandparents,



Clifton and Bertha Hurley,



and his paternal grandparents,



Joseph S. and Lena



Meeks. Interment will be in



Woodlawn Cemetery.



Services will begin at



1 p.m. on Thursday at the



Jones-Clark Funeral Home



chapel, Lima.



Friends may call from 4 to



8 p.m. Wednesday, where the



family will be present from 6



to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
