Carrie Lucille Liles, 80, died at 5:25 p.m. March 23, 2013, at Lima Memorial Health System.



She was born Nov. 19, 1932, in Green Hill, Ala., to Press and Carrie Lee Allen, who preceded her in death. On Feb. 10, 1947, she married Leonard Earl Liles, who died Nov. 29, 1995.



Mrs. Liles retired as a chef from the Milano Club after 30 years. She accepted Christ at the age of 8 at Hope Well Baptist Church, in Florence, Ala. She was a member of Fourth Street Missionary Baptist Church, where she was a member of the McGee-Johnson Circle and had served as vice president of the missions.



Survivors include three sons, Robert Leon Liles, of Columbus, and George Leslie Liles and Corail Edward Liles, both of Lima; two daughters, Wanda Faye Wilson and Joan Ann Liles Canty, both of Lima; two daughters-in-law, Freddie Liles, of Florence, Ala., and Debra Russell, of Columbus; a very special son of the heart, Raymond Grant; 12 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; a brother, Howard (Bessie) Allen, of Florence, Ala.; and five sisters, Reba Bailey, of Florence, Ala., Pauline Burns, of Lawrenceburg, Tenn., Virginia Oates, of Barton, Ala., Mary McClain, of Lawrenceburg, Tenn., and Willie Kathryn Allen, of Florence, Ala.



She was preceded in death by two sons, the Rev. Henry L. and Earl Junior Liles; a daughter, Debbie K. Liles; a grandson, Fred E. Wilson; three brothers, Harry, Robert and Press Jr. Allen; and two sisters, Marie Bailey and Dorothy Word.



Services will begin at 1 p.m. Friday at Fourth Street Missionary Baptist Church. The Rev. Earnest Stephens Jr. will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.



Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the church, where the family will be present from 6 to 8 p.m.
