LIMA â?? C. Daniel â??Docâ?ť Holliday, 63, died at 12:25 p.m. July 18, 2013, at St. Ritaâ??s Medical Center.
He was born Jan. 16, 1950, in Cadiz to Clifford S. and Dorothy Belle Weaver Holliday. He married Catherine Jean Contris, of Lima.
Mr. Holliday was an avid fan of the Cleveland Browns. He was a member of Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 370 and the Fraternal Order Orioles Nest 173. He attended mass at Baton Rouge Senior Health Services. He enjoyed playing billiards, golfing and spending time with family and friends.
Survivors include a son, Benjamin Michael (Sara Shutt) Contris, of Lima; four daughters, Angela Dene (Fielden) Deeds, of Lima, Kimberly Holliday, of Lima, Christina (Jon) Bodine, of Lima, and Barbara Lee Holiday, of Lima; a half brother, John Michael Scott, of Wapakoneta; a sister, Janice Kelleher, of Wisconsin; and a half sister, Lana Jo Morris, of Lima.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Elizabeth â??Bettyâ?ť Oâ??Day and Barbara Lehman; and a brother-in-law, James Morris.
Services will begin at 1 p.m. Monday at Chiles-Laman Funeral & Cremation Services, Eastside Chapel. Pastor Rich Biclawski will officiate. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.
Friends may call from 10 a.m. to noon Monday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Lima Rescue Home.
