Camilla V. â??Camâ?ť Huysman, 96, died at 7:35 p.m. May 9, 2013, at St. Ritaâ??s Medical Center.
She was born Nov. 3, 1916, in Lexington, Mo., to Dominic J. and Margherita Gardi Cei, who preceded her in death. On April 11, 1942, she married Howard L. Huysman, who died Sept. 18, 1963.
Mrs. Huysman had worked for the federal government for 11 years and in private industry for 34 years. She was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Delphos, and the Catholic Daughters of America. She was a member of Benevolent & Protective Order of Elks Lodge 54 Auxiliary, Lima. She had been a member of the Delphos Country Club. She had been a volunteer at St. Ritaâ??s Medical Center and the American Red Cross. She had been a poll worker in Van Wert County and helped in the St. Johnâ??s Momâ??s Room and with all the fall festivals. She was a 1934 graduate of Lexington High School, Lexington, Mo., and a 1936 graduate of Chillicothe Business College, Chillicothe, Mo. She enjoyed reading, working crossword puzzles and shopping, but most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family.
Survivors include twin sons, Donald P. Huysman and Ronald P. (Barbara) Huysman, both of Delphos; two grandchildren, Capt. Brian (Michelle) Huysman, of Washington D.C., and Katrina â??Katieâ?ť (Roger) Lehman, of Ottawa; two great-grandchildren, William R. Huysman and Victoria Lehman; and five nephews and four nieces.
She was preceded in death by her loving stepfather, S.A. Franchino; a brother, Retired Lt. Col. Peter G. (Dorothy) Cei; and a nephew and two nieces.
Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 1:30 p.m. Monday at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Delphos. Fathers Thomas Gorman and Chris Bohnsack will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Harter & Schier Funeral Home, Delphos, where a parish wake service will be held at 7 p.m.
