DELPHOS



Alberta F. â??Bertâ?ť Sanders, 80, passed away the morning of June 20, 2013, at St. Ritaâ??s Medical Center surrounded by her loving family.



Her Familyâ?»She was born April 4, 1933, in Lima, to the late Albert and Leona Gulker Laudick. She married Mike Sanders on July 1, 1953, and he preceded her in death on Nov. 22, 2010.



She is survived by a daughter, Sherry (Patrick M.) Patton, of Delphos; two grandchildren, Tricia Patton, of Delphos, and Ryan Patton, of Concord, N.C.; a great-granddaughter, Madison; a sister, Norma MacDonald, of Seattle; a sister-in-law, Marvel Laudick; and two brothers-in-law, James Lauer and Jack Mueller.



She was preceded in death by two sisters, Betty Lauer and Margaret Mueller; and two brothers, William and Robert Laudick.



Her Legacyâ?»Alberta was a devoted homemaker, loving mother and grandmother and grammy. She graduated from St. Johnâ??s High School in 1951. She was an avid fan of St. Johnâ??s athletics and NASCAR. She was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church and Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 471 Auxiliary, both in Delphos .



Her Farewell Servicesâ?»Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Delphos. The Rev. Daniel Borgelt will officiate. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery, Delphos.



Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Strayer Funeral Home, 1840 E. Fifth St., Delphos, where a parish wake service will be held at 7:30 p.m.



Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Johnâ??s Athletic Department or a charity of the donorâ??s choice.
