Cornelia Parker, 67, died at 12:32 a.m. May 12, 2013, at St. Rita’s Medical Center.
She was born May 15, 1945, in Ypsilanti, Mich., to Cornelius and Anna Turner Clemons, who preceded her in death.
Mrs. Parker retired as an addiction counselor from St. Rita’s Medical Center. She was a member of Fourth Street Missionary Baptist Church, where she was a member of the Missionary Circle, a Sunday school teacher and worked with the Children’s Church.
Survivors include three sons, Reginald Pierson Sr., Kenneth Richardson and Jake Parker III, all of Lima; a daughter of the heart, Toni Jackson; three grandchildren, Nocosha Glover, NaTasha Evans and D’yante Parker; five great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Anna Pierson, of Lima, Lillie Kelly, of Florence, Ala., and Ethel Walker, of Ypsilanti, Mich.
She was preceded in death by a grandson, Reginald Pierson Jr.; a brother, John Clemons; and two sisters, Mary Johnson and Mary Ellis Jeffries.
Services will begin at 1 p.m. Monday at Fourth Street Missionary Baptist Church. The Rev. Earnest Stephens Jr. will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Friends may call from 10 a.m. until time of services Monday at the church.
