J. B. Manns died at 10:43 a.m. April 16, 2013, at Lima Memorial Health System.
He was born Aug. 6, 1928, in Wayland, Ky., to Green and Sefronia Manns. He married Margaret “Peg” Leffler Manns, and they later divorced.
Surviving are four sons, Rod Manns, of Georgia, Randy (Rhonda) Manns, of Kenton, Roger Manns, of Upper Sandusky, and Stephen Manns, of Forest; two daughters, Jeanne (Rick) Moore, of West Mansfield, and Christa (Judd) Rarey, of Kenton; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; three sisters, Sue Ann (Marvin) Adams, of Elida, Billie Mae (Ray) Legge, of Kenton, and Emma Jean Fox, of Kenton; and two brothers, Earnest (Wilma) Manns, of Kenton, and Eddie Manns, of Kenton.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Vicky Henley; a son, Robert Manns; a grandson, Mark Manns; three brothers, Virgil, Herbert and Hager Manns; and three sisters, Georgia Winegardner, Roberta Huff and Justine Whitmore.
J.B. retired from Superior Coach, Lima. He was a member of Loyal Order of Moose Lodge 428, Kenton, and attended Abundant Life Assembly of God Church.
Services for will be held at noon Friday at Abundant Life Assembly of God Church. Pastor Jim Goldsmith will officiate. Burial will be in Fairview McDonald Cemetery, Kenton.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Price Funeral Home, Kenton, and one hour before services on Friday at the church.
