Diana ‚??Dee‚?Ě Fannon, 73, died at 5:25 p.m. May 15, 2013, at St. Rita‚??s Medical Center.

She was born Jan. 14, 1940, in New York City to Eustacio and Amelia Vasquez Ortiz, who preceded her in death. On Jan. 22, 2001, she married James L. Fannon, who survives in Lima.

Mrs. Fannon received her master‚??s degree in social services from Columbia University. She retired from Children‚??s Aid Society, after a long career in social services. Her passion was working with troubled teens. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

Survivors also include a son, Mark Edward (Carol) Munoz, of Everett, Wash.; two daughters, Lynn Ann (Sam) Martinez, of Conyers, Ga., and Karen Ann Munoz, of Charlotte, N.C.; nine grandchildren, Matthew (Natalie) Munoz, of Oceanside, Calif., Jennifer Munoz, of Richmond, Ind., Dionna Munoz and Mark Munoz Jr., both of Charlotte, N.C., Alyssa Ransom, of Columbia, S.C., Amanda Martinez, of Conyers, Ga., and Christen McCoy, Sammy McCoy and Brianna McCoy, all of Charlotte, N.C.; two great-grandchildren, Hunter and Guiliana; and two sisters, Elaine Joseph, of New York City, and Betsy (Jose) Mata, of Tampa, Fla.

Private services were held Thursday at Chiles-Laman Funeral & Cremation Services, Eastside Chapel.
