Jerry Dean Hance

Jerry Dean Hance, 76, died at 10:30 a.m. April 9, 2013, at his residence.

He was born Dec. 26, 1936, in New York to Richard and Irene Craig Hance, who preceded him in death.

Mr. Hance was a graduate of Lima Senior High School. He retired from Teledyne-Ohio Steel, where he worked as a truck driver for 24 years. Jerry had a love for flying and enjoyed reading. Most of all He was a beloved father and grandfather.

Survivors include a daughter, Tonya L. (Shawn R.) Wonderlie, of Sarasota, Fla.;a grandson, Mark A. Sterling, of Plattsburgh, N.Y.; a great-granddaughter, Alexis M. Sterling; a great-grandson, Anthony N. Sterling; a sister, Karen Watkins, of Lima; a brother, Larry Hance, of Columbus; and a cousin, Tom Fetter, of Waynesfield.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Sandy Vitek.

Funeral services will begin at 5 p.m. Sunday at Eastside Chapel of Chiles-Laman Funeral & Cremation Services. Burial will be at a later date in Palms Cemetery, Sarasota, Fla.

Friends may call from 1 p.m. until time of services Sunday at Eastside Chapel.
