FINDLAY — Orma Leah Hoge, 80, was unexpectedly admitted to the hospital Monday evening and died at 9:25 a.m. July 10, 2013, at the Bridge Hospice Care Center, Findlay.


She was born Dec. 4, 1932, in West Mansfield to the late Lloyd and Lenora Eddy Boyce. She married Ivan D. Hoge on Feb. 13, 1952. He recently passed on April 30, 2013. Orma and Ivan had shared 61 years of marriage.


Orma is also survived by two sons, David E. (Susie) Hoge, of Lima, and Dean A. Hoge, of Findlay; and two daughters, Sheila A. Bibler, of Dayton, and Suzanne (Jim) O’Connor, of Murrieta, Calif. She leaves behind 11 loving grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. She leaves three sisters, one of which is her fraternal twin, Norma (C.T.) Richardson, Carla Inskeep and Karen (Louie) Rettig.


Orma was also preceded in death by her only brother, Robert Boyce and three sisters, Helen Richards, Doris Thompson and Anna Mae Bargdill.


Orma was a quiet and beloved mother, mother-in-law and grandmother. She was a member of Upper Room Church of God, Findlay, and was also a cherished friend of many. She will be truly missed, but today is rejoicing in her new home praising the Lord she faithfully served and she is reunited with her beloved husband and soul-mate, Ivan.


Funeral services will begin at 11 a.m. Saturday at Upper Room Church of God, 520 W. Bigelow, Findlay. Bishop Terry McBeath will officiate.


Visitation for family and friends will be Friday from 5 to 8 p.m. at Coldren-Crates Funeral Home, 205 W. Sandusky St., and one hour prior to services Saturday at the church.


The family would like to extend our gratitude to the caring attending physician and nurse in the emergency room at Blanchard Valley and especially to the wonderful care and kindness shown to our mother by Jen, Jane, Diane and Brenda at the Bridge Hospice Care Center. Also, many thanks to Bishop Terry McBeath for his unwavering and loving support. We will forever be grateful to each of you for helping us through this time of grief.


Memorials may be made to Smile Train. This is an international charity that provides cleft palate surgery to those in need.
