LIMA

Lisa Marie Carver, 45, died at 4:30 a.m. Aug. 9, 2012, in Bluffton.

She was born April 18, 1967, in Lima to Harvey Monroe Freytag and Sharon Kay Dotson Melson. Her father and stepmother, Linda Freytag, survive in Lima. Her mother and stepfather, Ralph Melson, also survive in Lima. On April 6, 1996, she married David Leonard Carver, who survives in Lima.

Mrs. Carver retired in February 2008 as an administrative assistant from Corporate Support and had worked at Shoney’s on Bellefontaine Avenue. She was a member of First Church of the Nazarene. She enjoyed gardening, fishing, camping and spending time with family.

Survivors also include three sons, Brandon Scott Woods, Derrick Wade Woods and David Gage Carver, all of Lima; two daughters, Alisha Nicole Slygh and Haili Dawn Carver, both of Lima; two grandsons, Wesley Scott Woods and Bretley Wade Woods; a brother, Kurt Douglas Freytag, of Lima; a half brother, Jason Keith Ingledue, of Waynesfield; and a sister, Wendy Elaine Taylor, of Lima.

She was preceded in death by grandparents, Donald and Betty Dotson and Clifford and Dorathy Freytag.

Services will begin at 2 p.m. Saturday at Chiles-Laman Funeral & Cremation Services, Eastside Chapel. The Rev. Jeff Rouston will officiate.

Friends may call from noon until time of services Saturday at the funeral home.
