Scott David Zimmerle, 50, died unexpectedly during the night of July 2, 2013, at his home in Cincinnati.

Scott was born on Feb. 16, 1963, in Stuttgart, Germany to Earl and Marianne Zimmerle, who survive him in Pensacola, Fla.

Survivors also include his children, Kyle Zimmerle and Katlyn “Katie” Zimmerle. These children were the joy and love of his life and he truly enjoyed every moment with them.

Scott was a loving brother and will be deeply missed by a sister, Mary Beth (Andy) Koster, and brother, Brian (Jennifer) Zimmerle. He was adored by his nephews, Sam Koster, Bryce Zimmerle and Ean Zimmerle and niece Megan Koster, who treasured the time they spent together especially every summer at Pensacola Beach.

Scott graduated from Lima Central Catholic in 1981 then attended the University of Cincinnati, where he graduated with a degree in mechanical engineering. He began his career at GE Aviation in Cincinnati, where he was employed for 26 years. Scott will be missed by those he worked with, those he golfed with and especially those he fished with. He had a strong belief in God and was an active member of St. Martin of Tours Church.

Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Rebold, Rosenacker & Sexton Funeral Home, 3700 Glenmore Ave, Cheviot.

Funeral mass will begin at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Martin of Tours Church. Burial will be in New St Joseph Cemetery.
