Kenneth C. Clum, 90, of Lee’s Summit, Mo., formerly of Lafayette, died at 9:03 a.m. Jan. 17, 2010, at John Knox Village Care Center in Lee’s Summit.
He was born Nov. 12, 1919, in Lafayette to Frederick Kauf and Dora Elizabeth “Bess” Vint Clum, who preceded him in death.
Mr. Clum retired from the Air Force, Superior Coach, Lima, and Badger Engineers, Tampa, Fla. He had lived in Missouri since 1999. He was a graduate of Lafayette-Jackson High School. He enjoyed numismatics and collecting big band records. He was a long distance member of Zion Lutheran Church, Lafayette. He was a phenomenal grandfather.
Survivors include a daughter, Michi (Dayton) Ward, of Lee’s Summit, Mo.; a brother, Donald (Phyllis) Clum, of Allentown, Pa.; and two granddaughters, Addison and Erin Ward.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Helen Weaver and Janis L. Zimmerman.
Services will begin at 10 a.m. Saturday at Hanson-Neely Funeral Home, Ada. Pastor Larry Trover will officiate. Burial will be in Lafayette Cemetery, Lafayette, with military rites.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday and until time of services Saturday at the funeral home.
