Garry Cummins, 67 , died at 12:24 p.m. April 1, 2013, in a truck accident.



He was born Oct. 25, 1945, in Bellefontaine, to the late Carl David and Ida Ruth Davis Cummins. On Oct. 11, 1985, he married Kathryn Kay Harshbarger, who survives.



Mr. Cummins was a mechanic and truck driver and a member of the Heidelberg Reformed Church. He was a member of the NRA and the Allen County Gun Club. His hobbies included playing cards, trap shooting, camping, automotive work and was an avid story teller.



Additional survivors include nine children, Wendy (Stanley) Langham, of Wellington, Darrell (Cindy) Cummins, of Harrod, Shawn (Bonnie) Cummins, of Wapakoneta, Ron Cummins, of Wapakoneta, Brian (Jenn) Cummins, of Lima, Rob (Jenise) Merricle, of Cridersville, Scott (Ashley) Merricle, of Cridersville, Lee (Lisa) Hale of Spokane, Wash., and Scott Hale; 20 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; twin brother, Larry (Ruth) Cummins; five sisters, Rose (Joe) Parker, Phyllis Hickes, Judy (Jack) Berning, Linda (Michael) Armitage and Sandy Killian; in-laws, Pam (Bob) Kirby and Jerry (Norma) Harshbarger.



He was preceded in death by a son, Carl Jay Cummins; and a sister-in-law, Sherry West.



The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Bayliff & Son Funeral Home, Cridersville.



Funeral services will begin 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Bayliff & Son Funeral Home, Cridersville. Bob Pepple will officiate. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Wapakoneta.
