LimaMichael J. George Sr., 80 died at 10:39 a.m. May 19, 2012, at Lima Memorial Health System.He was born Aug. 4, 1931, in Lima to Metro and Anna Ebashfaelen George, who preceded him in death. On April 17, 1952, he married Joyce Stepek, survives in Lima.He was veteran of the U.S. Air Force and served during the Korean War. He was a member of St. Gerard Catholic Church and the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 370 in Lima.Survivors include four sons, Mike (Ronda) George and Nick George, both of Lima, Anthony George, of Canal Winchester, and Matt George, of Columbus; two daughters, Shelly (Doug) Sanders, of Lima, and Lisa McClellan, of Fort Wayne, Ind.; and 12 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.He was preceded in death by a son.A private family service will be held at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home. The Rev. Michael Huston will officiate.
