ElidaDeana K. “Dee” Steiner, 73, died at 11:30 p.m. March 27, 2012, at her residence.She was born Nov. 8, 1938, in Lima to Foster M. and Zora L. Plaugher Masters. Her father preceded her in death. Her mother survives in Lima. On July 10, 1961, she married Samuel G. Steiner, who survives in Elida.Mrs. Steiner was a member of Bluelick Bible Church. She retired in 2001 from Ford Motor Co. Lima Engine Plant. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother, who loved spending time with family and friends. She also enjoyed spending winters in Florida, antiquing and gardening.Survivors also include two sons, Douglas (Karen) Steiner and Michael Steiner, both of Elida; a daughter, Rhonda (Gerard) Gambino, of Boynton Beach, Fla.; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; three brothers, Merlin (Charlotte) Masters, Paul Masters and Earl (Peg) Masters, all of Lima; and a sister, Robin (Steve) Flanagan, of Lima.Services will begin at 11 a.m. Saturday at Chiles-Laman Funeral & Cremation Services, Eastside Chapel. Pastor Jim Neighbors will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or St. Rita's Hospice.Condolences may be expressed at chiles-lamanfh.com.
