WapakonetaMarjorie Maxine Fogt Smallwood, 82, of Wapakoneta, died at 9:10 a.m. March 16, 2012, at her residence. She was born April 7, 1929, in St. Marys to Clarence and Eva Phillips Fogt, who preceded her in death. On Oct. 10, 1948, she married Ray M. Smallwood, who survives.Mrs. Smallwood was a homemaker. She worked at Turner Toy Co., Westinghouse Corp. and Superior Tube Co. She retired from the Goodyear Tire and Rubber Co., St. Marys, after 24 years. She was a member of Salem United Methodist Church and a former member of Brands Lake Fishing Club, both of Wapakoneta. A graduate of Cridersville High School, her hobbies included fishing, boating, bowling and attending auctions. She loved animals, especially cats.Survivors also include two daughters, Barbara Ann (Michael A.) Selby, of Moulton, and Betty June Smallwood, of Ludlow Falls; four grandsons, Shane Selby and fiancée, Todd Selby, Chad (Amy) Selby and Michael J. (Heather) Selby; and six great-grandchildren.She was preceded in death by a sister, Mabel Schwer.Services will begin at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Bayliff & Eley Funeral Home, Wapakoneta. Pastor Greg Roberts will officiate.
