LIMA — Amanda Lea Murphy, 23, died at 9:56 a.m. June 29, 2013, at Blanchard Valley Hospice Care Center, Findlay.
She was born Oct. 26, 1989, in Lima to Matthew E. and Tina E. Stephenson Murphy, who survive in Lima. Her significant other, Jonny Ray Smith, survives in Lima.
Miss Murphy’s greatest passion was her children. She loved spending time with her family, especially the kids. She loved having a good time, listening to music and hanging out. She will be remembered as a fighter. She took cancer on full force, never giving up and never wanting pity.
Survivors also include a daughter, McKenna Rose Murphy, at home; a son, Jonny Ray Smith Jr., at home; a brother, Billy Bob (Stacey Swinehart) Murphy, of Lima; a nephew, Izayah Murphy, of Lima; maternal grandmother, Irene Stephenson, of Lima; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
She was preceded in death by paternal grandparents, Roy F. Murphy Sr. and Audra L. Murphy Grey; and maternal grandfather, William O. Stephenson.
Services will begin at 10 a.m. Saturday at Chiles-Laman Funeral & Cremation Services, Eastside Chapel. The Rev. Randall Kuhn will officiate. Burial will be in Wingston Cemetery, Bowling Green.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday and one hour prior to services Saturday at the funeral home.
