COLUMBUS GROVE — Delia Palte, 79, died at 11:52 p.m. Sept. 10, 2012, at St. Rita’s Medical Center, Lima.
She was born April 29, 1933, in Kildare County, Ireland, to the late John and Margaret Massey Rush. On May 28, 1960, she married Richard S. Palte, who survives in Columbus Grove. Also surviving are three children, Bob (Janet) Palte, of Westfield Center, Bernadette (Jeff) Moratt, of Hilliard, and Frances (Doug) Spencer, of Waynesfield; eight grandchildren; and three sisters, Monica Finn, of Lima, Marie Delaney, of Dublin, Ireland, and Sister Gracie Rush of Sisters of Mercy, Cairns, Australia.
She was preceded in death by two sons, Richard and Thomas Palte; two brothers, John and Jim Rush; and a sister, Sara Barlage.
Delia was a retired secretary for St. Anthony Catholic Church, Columbus Grove. She was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church and its Altar Rosary Society. She was a member of American Legion Post 516 Auxiliary, Columbus Grove.
Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Anthony Catholic Church, Columbus Grove. Father Tom Extejt will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Love Funeral Home, Ottawa, where a Parish Rosary Service will be held at 7:30 p.m.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Parkinson Foundation or St. Anthony School Endowment Fund.
