OTTAWAMary ‚??Marie‚?Ě E. Feicht, 92, of Toledo, died Sept. 4, 2011, at her home.She was born Jan. 9, 1919, in Anita, Pa., to George Walker and Maude Hawk. Her father died before she was born in the flu epidemic of 1918. Shortly after she was born, she was adopted by her aunt and uncle, Fanny and John Sullivan. In 1940, she married her beloved husband, Frank J. Feicht, who died in 1981.Mrs. Feicht was raised separately from her brother, Eugene Coleson, and did not meet him until 1951. After that, she remained close to him and his wife, Grace, for the remainder of their lives. While she never had the opportunity for an advanced education, Marie and Frank moved from Pennsylvania to Ottawa in 1957 to gain the employment necessary to provide an education for their daughters. Both she and Frank retired from the Sylvania factory. A creative woman with a gift for cartooning, she was also an avid reader and collector of British murder mysteries and cookbooks. She relished the opportunity to wander a used bookstore. While she preferred to stay close to home, she thoroughly enjoyed two trips to London with her family.Survivors include three daughters, Mary Margaret ‚??Peggy‚?Ě Feicht, of Toledo, Kathleen Feicht, of Toledo, and Pamela (Ira) Scheer, of Columbus; and two granddaughters, Laura and Jessica Scheer.Services will begin at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Harman Cemetery, Gilboa. Instead of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society, the Salvation Army or the Unity Church in Toledo.Condolences may be expressed at lovefuneralhome.com.Arrangements are by Love Funeral Home, Ottawa.
