HARROD — Theodore “Ted” McClintock, 76, died at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 20, 2012, at Richland Manor Nursing Home, Bluffton.
He was born Feb. 22, 1936, in Lima to Warren and Helen Kilpatrick McClintock, who preceded him in death.
Mr. McClintock retired from Ford Motor Co. after working there for more than 30 years. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, Veterans of Foreign Wars and the Fraternal Order of Police in Lima. He really enjoyed watching the Reds, NASCAR and football.
Survivors include four children, Sharon McClintock, of Ada, Brett (Sally) McClintock, of Harrod, Janet Watkins, of Ada, and Traci Hughes, of Jackson Center; six grandchildren, Kayla Gossman, Heath McClintock, Nick Hilyard, Derek and Dustin Watkins, and Dalton Hughes; three great-grandchildren, Colton McClintock, and Connor and Presley Watkins; three brothers, Jack (Mary) McClintock, of Lima, Donald (Sheri) McClintock, of Florida, and Dennis (Janet) McClintock, of Cairo, Ohio; three sisters, Karen Hinkle, Linda Phillips, and Donna Layton, all of Lima; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Joyce Reed; three brothers-in-law, Donald Hinkle, Carl Layton, and Robert Reed; and two grandsons, Seth McClintock and Justin Hilyard.
Graveside services will begin at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Memorial Park Cemetery.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Chiles-Laman Funeral and Cremation Services, Eastside Chapel.
Instead of flowers, donations may be made to American Cancer Society and American Heart Association.
